i'm alive
wow. so i'm in cali. san rafael to be exact. it's been an adjustment but things are GOOD.i now finally have an internet connection in my room (the neighbor added me to his wireless). excellent. it's a bit shaky, but it's something, at least.
first things first, I'M ENGAGED. happened January 6. quite romantic. the whole day was amazing. June 9 I'll be a married woman.
second things second, I'm a barista at Starbucks. I'm not 'officially' a barista cause I don't have the pin they give saying I'm officially a barista. I have to do another training thing and make some more drinks at the bar. yesterday, though, i rang someone up at the register AND made the drink. woohoo.
things are interesting with planning a wedding, getting used to being in a relationship in the same place, when i was used to long distance for 9 months. but it's good.
and i'm reconnecting with friends here as well as making new ones.
minnesota was good. no snow there and got along well with my new future in-laws.
glad to be in a no-snow zone now. it's gonna be 60 degrees here tomorrow.
will hopefully blog on a more regular basis from now on.

YAY!!! I am so glad you are back! And so glad that everything is going well. I can't wait to hear more details. Meanwhile, I've not been so lucky . . . toothwise, that is . . . check my blog!

Hey Loren. I don't know what happend with Christmas. We got stuck in Seattle and ended up driving to CO. I don't know if you made it out on your flight but I read you made it back east. Now your in CA, wow, at least we're just 1 hour different now. Write when you get a chance. And by the way, welcome to the world of Barista'ing...is that a word?
